Rebuilding a full, natural head of hair when thinning has gone too far for extensions alone — combining systems, volumisers and cut work into one result that looks like it grew there.
There is a point where adding extensions stops working — not enough of your own hair remains to attach to, or the loss is spread too widely to hide. Reconstruction is the next step: rather than adding length, we rebuild the whole picture, density, hairline, parting and shape, using whichever methods actually fit your scalp.
In practice that usually means a system or topper across the thin areas, blended into your remaining hair, then cut and coloured as one head of hair. It is done over a couple of visits, because getting the hairline and the cut right matters more than getting it done fast.
Three situations bring people to this page. Extensions no longer have enough of your own hair to attach to, or the loss is spread too widely across the top and sides to hide with them. Earlier work — extensions fitted too heavy, a cheap piece bought online, a system that never matched — has left the hairline and density uneven and you want it put right as one job. Or you have simply reached the point of wanting a coherent result rather than pieces added over the years.
Thinning limited to one area is a topper, and a topper is less to wear and to look after. Loss that is still moving — during medical treatment, or an alopecia that has not settled — is one we wait on: a wig in the meantime, reconstruction once the picture is stable, because building a hairline around hair that is about to change is money spent twice.
The first visit is planning: we map your actual pattern of loss, decide which areas need a base and which can be filled with lighter methods such as a half-piece or sparse extensions where your own hair is stronger, design the hairline for your face and your age, and match the hair. The second is the fitting: pieces attached, blended, cut dry as one head of hair, colour adjusted if it needs it. The third, a week or two later, is short — parting, hairline density and cut refined once you have worn it in real life.
It is serviced like a system, every four to eight weeks depending on how it was attached, and our maintenance page describes what a visit involves. Reconstruction is priced as a plan rather than an item, quoted at the first visit before anything is ordered; the consultation itself is free.

Neither. Nothing is implanted and no procedure is performed. This is entirely cosmetic and reversible — you can stop at any time.
Usually two or three. The first is planning and matching, the second is fitting and cutting, and a short third visit refines it once you have lived in it for a week or two.
It should. A hairline that is too low or too dense for your age is the fastest way to look unnatural, and we design against that deliberately.
Book a consultation and we will map out honestly what can be rebuilt, over how many visits, and at what cost.
