What happens in a hair loss consultation?
We look at your scalp under good light, check the density across your crown, parting and hairline, and talk through how long the change has been happening. We ask about family history, recent illness, medication, diet and stress — because all of them show up in hair.
You then get a straight answer about what we can and cannot do. Our work is cosmetic — extensions, toppers, hair systems. We are not a clinic and we do not prescribe medication. If what you describe looks medical, we will tell you to see a dermatologist first, and we will say so even though it means you walk out without booking anything.

Who books one
Most people come after noticing one specific thing: a parting that has widened in photographs, a crown that shows under office lights, a hairline that has moved, or more hair in the shower drain than there used to be. Others come after a known cause — childbirth, an illness, a change of medication, a period of heavy stress — once the shedding has settled and they want to know what can be done about how it looks now. And a good number already have a diagnosis from a dermatologist and want to look like themselves while treatment takes its time. All three are the right reason to book.
What to expect in the room
Thirty to forty-five minutes, one to one, in a private room. We look at the scalp under good light, compare density at the crown, parting and hairline, and ask about timing, family history, recent health and how you wear your hair day to day. Photographs are taken only if you agree, and only so you can compare later. Then we show you the options as objects rather than words: a topper on the hand, a system base held against your skin, extension hair beside your own. Almost nobody has seen these up close, and the fear that it will look like a shop-bought wig usually ends at this point.
What you leave with
A written recommendation naming the option that fits — topper, system, wig, extensions for volume, a care routine, or simply wait — with what it involves, how often it needs servicing, and a price quoted for your case rather than a range. There is no deposit and nothing to sign. Take it home, get a second opinion, come back in a year; all of those are fine. Bring photographs of your hair from a year or two ago if you have them, and bring someone with you if you would rather not come alone.
What it is not
It is not a diagnosis, and we will not pretend otherwise. If the pattern or the scalp looks like something a doctor should see first, that is what we will say, before we talk about anything we sell. We do not sell products in the consultation, and we do not book anything on the day unless you ask.
